Water Tanks In Canberra and the ACT
As you probably know, The Canberra and the ACT are currently under some of the most severe restrictions to date as a result of lack of rain and low dam levels.
The good news is that it still does rain enough for water tanks to pay a significant part in reducing your mains water useage.
Canberra does not get a lot of rain but at least it gets regular rain which is what you need when you have water tanks. In fact most rain (on average) is in the Summer months. Regular rain means that your rainwater tank gets topped up regularly so there is less chance you will run out.
For more information about Canberra and ACT rainfall please see our Water Tank System Design Guide
The other good news is that you can probably get a rebate when you install a rainwater tank and connect it to your household plumbing like washing machines, toilets and bathrooms.
